How to Install BridgeHaul ELD Device?
Installing the BridgeHaul ELD device is easy. Follow the steps outlined below, and you will be sorted:
- First, turn off the engine. After that, search for the diagnostic port. It is usually located near the steering wheel.
- Now turn the adapter’s collar in the clockwise direction.
- Attach the Bluelink device to its other end when the adapter gets locked in a single place.
After the installation process is completed, the power light will turn green. While trying to find a suitable pair, the Bluetooth light will keep blinking with a blue light. But, once a connection is established, the light will change to solid blue. The JBus light usually remains off. However, while transmitting the data, it will turn red.
How to Use the BridgeHaul App?
To use the BridgeHaul app, you will first have to download it on your smartphone from Google PlayStore or the Apple App Store. After the installation process is complete, launch the app and follow the steps given below:
As a Carrier:
The first step is to log in to your carrier dashboard. Ensure that your carrier username and password are the same ones you used to purchase the ELD device. After logging in, the next step is adding the driver.
- Click on the Admin button, which can be found on the left side of the menu.
- Click on the driver’s button, and a drop-down menu will open up.
- Press the Add driver button located at the screen’s top right corner.
- Fill in the driver’s information and press the Submit button. All of your drivers will receive an email asking them to confirm their username and password. Please keep in mind that drivers need to create a BrigdeHaul account as well, without which they will not receive any email.
The next step is to add vehicles.
- Go to the Admin panel and then click on the Vehicles tab.
- Press the Add Vehicles button and provide relevant information.
- Once all the details have been added, press the Submit button, and the vehicle will be added to your list.
- Go to the Vehicles tab and select the vehicle to which you want to assign the ELD number and driver.
- Press the Edit Vehicle button. Click on the Assign driver and Assigned ELD number tabs.
- After selecting the driver and the ELD number, press the Submit button.
That’s it, the setting up process is completed. You can now use BrigeHaul ELD with no problem.
As a Driver:
First, download the BridgeHaul app to your smartphone. If a carrier has already created a driver account through their dashboard, you’ll receive an email with a link to set the password. Once that is done, you can log in to the app using your email and new password.
As a driver, you can also create a BridgeHaul account on your own through their mobile app. But you’ll be unable to connect and use the ELD until a carrier has invited you and assigned the ELD to a vehicle.
